Spring in Durham means an explosion of green leaves and white and pink flowers, floral fragrance wafting through the air, a thick layer of green pollen on absolutely everything, ice cream, near daily long walks, visits to Duke Gardens, evening picnics with the best of friends, lemonade, windows open, shimmying into shorts, seeing my legs for the first time in months, a first touch and mouthful of grass for a certain someone.
